Worrying Solves Nothing
A typographic installation for O.K. Centrum Linz; sixty thousand clothes hangers bound together by Austrian high school students to spell out a maxim on the Spittelwiese pedestrian zone.
Commissioned for the Spittelwiese in the centre of Linz, the structure was placed parallel to the building’s facade. Sixty thousand wire clothes hangers were bound together by local high school students to form the letters of the maxim, a process as communal and human as the message itself.
The project demonstrates the ability to distil a complex emotional idea into a single, immediately legible typographic moment, transforming an everyday domestic object into large-scale public art.
