Myanmar Shines
The complete visual identity, exhibition graphics and book design for ‘Myanmar Shines’ at White Cube Gallery, London; an exhibition created to show how energy access was transforming Myanmar’s society.
Myanmar Shines used photography and storytelling to document the arrival of electricity in Myanmar’s communities, turning darkness into light, literally and metaphorically. The visual identity connected Myanmar’s culture with the universal language of energy and illumination, carrying through into all exhibition graphics, printed collateral and a designed catalogue for the White Cube presentation.
The project required visual sensitivity to both Shell’s brand values and the prestige gallery context of White Cube, balancing corporate purpose with cultural authenticity. The result was an identity system warm enough to honour the subject matter while robust enough to anchor a high-profile London exhibition.
